Correspondence : chiefly with Jefferson Randolph Kean, 1922-1927.

The correspondence concerns a controversy over who had a right to be buried in the Monticello cemetery and whether the lot would be expanded for future burials. With the letters is a copy of a deed, 1923, for an addition to the graveyard and a tracing of the Smith family line from the Randolph family. Other correspondents are Hollins Nicholas Randolph, Cornelia Jefferson Taylor, Harold Jefferson Coolidge, Archibald Cary Coolidge, Pattie Cary Kean Morris, and Page Randolph Platt.
